My intended major is computer science, and I was wondering if I could get any insight from students on how their program is for this. How rigorous is the course load? How well does it prepare you for the industry? What opportunities have you had being in this program?

At some schools, Pitt for one, you can take the classes without being in Honors. Please be cognizant of not just ‘Honors’ but what it means for that school. If it’s that important, then how about a different school where they might get into a program ? Good luck with UMN. Will do. UMN is proving to be a great fit for my kid. They found their people and love (most) of their classes and the Twin Cities.
